Wait a Second for New Year's
This interesting bit of trivia came from my best friend. She just celebrated her birthday. When she is asked how old she was she said, "Twenty-one with experience." She is the one person who knows everything about me and still likes me.
Amusing Trivia
A leap second will be inserted in the world's clocks just before midnight on New Year's Eve. So, Jan. 1, 2006 will occur one second later than it would have otherwise. Leap seconds are needed occasionally because modern atomic clocks measure time with great accuracy, while the rotation of the Earth can be inconsistent.
